Using an AppleShare server as a central mail repository, each user can send and receive mail messages to and from other users. The flexibility of Hypercard provides you with the ability to customize your own mail system around HyperMail. Each mail user must have a MacIntosh running Hypercard and a User version of Appleshare. A HyperMail environment consists of a mail stack for every user. Each user's mail stack is located on the AppleShare server. Whenever a message is sent, it is added to the recipient's mail stack, and the recipient is notified on a special "HyperMail Home" card that new message(s) are waiting to be read. Messages can be sent to a single user, multiple users, or the whole organization. A user-definable mail-interval timer specifies the time interval to automatically check for new mail.
